If your Flexera One Beacon connection is successful but the UI displays the status "Not reporting normally," follow the steps below to diagnose and resolve the issue.
The "Not reporting normally" status indicates that the server is not receiving bstat (Beacon Status) files from the Beacon. To address this:
- Check server time zones
- Ensure that the inventory and database servers are using the correct and consistent time zones. Time zone mismatches can cause status reporting issues.
- Verify Windows Task Scheduler
- Confirm that all Scheduled Tasks related to the Beacon are enabled and running without errors. These tasks are responsible for uploading bstat files.
- Review the Beacon uploader log
- Open the
uploader.logon the Beacon and check for errors that may be preventing uploads. - Pay particular attention to proxy or network-related issues (like outdated proxy settings in the registry) and correct them as needed.
- Re-run the upload process
- After resolving any identified issues, rerun the Configuration wizard or allow the Beacon tasks to execute. The status should update to "Reporting normally."
