Delete functions in the Snow License Manager and Snow Atlas web interface may not work when requests are blocked by the server's Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) policy. This typically occurs when the server does not return the required headers to authorize cross-origin DELETE operations.
For Snow Atlas, the Search for Computer page may also fail to load because of the CORS policy implemented by client web browsers.

Open the browser console by pressing Ctrl+Shift+I, and then select the Console tab.

Click the Yes, delete period button or another delete-related control in the Snow License Manager web interface and check whether CORS-related errors appear in the console.

Review the network request for the DELETE operation and confirm that it is blocked by CORS policy settings.

Update the server hosting Snow License Manager to allow DELETE operations through CORS:
- Add
Access-Control-Allow-Originand specify the web application's domain. - Add
Access-Control-Allow-Methodsand includeDELETE. - Add
Access-Control-Allow-Headersas required for authentication and content type.

Save the CORS configuration and restart the Snow License Manager web service.

Clear the browser cache and verify that the delete operations now work as expected.

Alternatively, disabling browser security may correct the issue. This change must be discussed with your security team before making any changes. For more information, see Disable same-origin policy in Chrome on Stack Overflow.
On Windows:
- Open Command Prompt and navigate to the folder containing
chrome.exe. -
Run:
chrome.exe --disable-web-security
This disables the origin policy and allows interaction with local files. The Yes, delete period button and other disabled controls will become responsive.
