Check agent status in the Flexera console

1. Open the Flexera console.

2. Go to Elastigroup > Groups.

3. Select the relevant group, then select the Instances tab.

4. Verify the agent status for each instance:

   • If the agent has sent a heartbeat in the last 2 minutes, it appears as healthy.

   • If there is no recent heartbeat, investigate the instance directly.

Check the agent on Linux instances

1. Connect to your Linux instance using SSH or EC2 Instance Connect.

2. Verify that the agent service is running:

   • Run: service spotinst-agent status

3. Review the agent log file for errors or warnings:

   • Log path: /var/log/spotinst.spotinst-agent.log

Check the agent on Windows instances

1. Connect to your Windows instance using RDP.

2. Browse to the Spotinst agent folder:

   • C:\Spotinst

3. Review the agent log files in this folder for errors or warnings.
