An error has occurred when trying to run the query [select * from [FileName.xlsx]].The error message is: [Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.]
This issue typically indicates a mismatch between the selected source type and the actual file type being used.
To resolve this issue:
- Go to the Source page in the Business Adapter configuration.
- Verify that the value selected in the Type field matches the actual format of the source file.
- For example, if you are using an .xlsx Excel file, ensure the source type is set to match that format explicitly.
- Save the configuration and run the import again.
Ensuring that the selected source type accurately reflects the file format will prevent the Business Adapter from treating the file as read-only, allowing the import to proceed successfully.
