Instructions

Deploy the update set

  1. Download and extract the zip file: DiscoverySourceDeletion_Disable.zip
  2. Log in to ServiceNow as an admin.
  3. Navigate to: System Update Sets > Retrieved Update Sets
  4. Upload the XML file: DiscoverySourceDeletion_Disable.xml
  5. Preview and commit the update set:
    • Name: DiscoverySourceDeletion_Disable
  6. Confirm that the update set was applied successfully.
Outcome

Once the update set is applied, your ServiceNow environment will ignore "Is Delete = true" flags for Discovery Sources on the specified tables, helping to prevent unintended data loss during CMDB data synchronization.
