Error Message
The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_SoftwareLicenseAllocation_ComplianceComputer".
The conflict occurred in database "<DB Name>", table "dbo.ComplianceComputer_MT".
The statement has been terminated.
It typically indicates a mismatch or missing data in the referenced tables.
The error occurs because either the device (ComplianceComputer) or the license (SoftwareLicense) being referenced does not exist in the database at the time of the insert.
You can resolve this error using one of the following methods:
Option 1: Validate source data
- Confirm that the ComplianceComputerID and SoftwareLicenseID values in the source file are valid and already exist in the FlexNet Manager Suite database.
Option 2: Use linked objects instead of IDs
- Instead of inserting
ComplianceComputerIDorSoftwareLicenseIDdirectly into the Software Allocation object: - Use the Computer and Software License objects in the Business Adapter to retrieve the IDs.
- Link those objects to the Software Allocation mapping.
- This ensures both objects are matched and validated before the allocation is created or updated.
