Follow these steps to correct your configuration. You must decide which parameter you want to use and set the other parameter to null.

1. Update the configuration in the Flexera console

1. Go to Elastigroup, then select Groups.

2. Choose your Elastigroup and select Actions, then Edit configuration.

3. Go to Compute, then Instance selection.

4. Update your configuration so that you use only one of these parameters:

   • On‑demand types

   • Preferred spot types

5. Save your changes.

2. Update the configuration using the Flexera API

If you configure your Elastigroup through the API, set the parameter you are not using to null.
For example:

• Set ondemand to null if you want to use onDemandTypes.

• Set onDemandTypes to null if you want to use ondemand.

3. Update the configuration in Terraform

If you manage Elastigroup through Terraform, set the unused parameter to null so Terraform submits a valid configuration.
