Access the Ideas portal

1. Log in to the Flexera Community.
2. Navigate to Resources > Ideas > Flexera Ideas.

Search before submitting

• Use the search bar to look for existing ideas similar to yours.
• If your idea exists, click the Vote button. It will turn green once your vote is cast.
• You can vote for ideas without subscribing to them.
• To receive updates on an idea, click the Subscribe button on the idea page.

Submit a new idea

If your idea doesn’t exist:

1. Click Add a new idea at the top of the page.
2. Select the product your idea relates to.
3. Enter a short, one-sentence summary of your idea.
4. Choose a category that best fits your idea.
5. In the details section, provide as much information as possible:
   • Describe the idea clearly.
   • Explain the problem it solves.
   • Share how it would improve your workflow or experience.
6. Add your company name and email address.
7. Click Share idea to submit.

Tips for writing a strong idea

• Go for reach: Frame your idea so it applies to a broad set of users or use cases.
• Be outcome-focused: Use a user story format (for example, As a [role], I want [feature], so that [benefit]).
• Be specific: Avoid vague terms like “better access.” Explain exactly what you need and for whom.
• Get creative: Include screenshots or visuals to help illustrate your idea.

What happens next

• Ideas are reviewed within three weeks of submission.
• You’ll receive email notifications for any status changes or comments.
• You can subscribe to ideas to receive real-time updates.
