This article discusses the steps to resolve the issue when an installer built with the InstallShield IDE displays Arabic and Ukrainian correctly, but an installer built with the InstallShield Standalone Build (SAB) results in the installer displaying English, which is the incorrect language.
Since the installer functions correctly with the full version but you are only facing this issue with the SAB builds, then you need to copy the strings from the machine running the full version of InstallShield to your build machine running the SAB.
To resolve this issue:
- On the machine running the full InstallShield IDE, open this directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield\2024\Support - In that directory, locate and copy the following files:
- Default Arabic language (Saudi Arabia): 0x0401.ini
- Ukrainian: 0x0422.ini
- Paste the copied .ini files into the following directory on the machine running the InstallShield SAB:
C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield\2024 SAB\Support - After you have copied the .ini files, build the project on the machine running the InstallShield SAB, and then check the installer by first running it in Arabic, aborting the install, and then running the installer in Ukrainian.
After applying this fix, the installer built with InstallShield SAB should correctly display the text in Arabic or Ukrainian.
