While working with Cloud Migration, you may occasionally notice a mismatch between the number of assigned licenses and the number displayed in the platform. These mismatches can impact compliance reporting, affect migration validation, and may lead to fewer licenses being available for collecting performance data than expected.
Cause
There are two common reasons this mismatch may occur:
- Connectivity issues: Intermittent connectivity between your environment and Flexera’s license validation servers can prevent consistent validation of license data.
- Certificate validation errors: Changes in proxy settings, especially when SSL inspection is enabled, may interfere with validation. To avoid this, exclude
app1.riscnetworks.comfrom inspection or temporarily disable certificate validation.
To resolve this issue, create a Flexera Support ticket and include the following:
- The name of the assessment where the mismatch is observed.
- A screenshot showing both the assigned license count and the displayed license count.
To capture the correct screenshot:
- Navigate to Collect data > Licensing.
- Filter the table using “1” to show all licensed devices.
- Compare this number with the total under Assessment Licensing.
If the numbers do not match, this confirms a license mismatch. Attach the screenshot to your support ticket.
Flexera Support and Engineering will assist in validating the license data and correcting any discrepancies.
