Introduction to Report Settings
Report settings on the Lifetime Event Usage Report can now be saved and loaded later for faster report viewing. Saved settings can also be shared with other users of the product.
Click the Edit button (pencil) to edit Report Settings. Click the More button (three dots) to save report settings or load saved settings.
When you click the Edit button, the Report Settings dialog box opens,
When you click the More button, a drop down menu appears where you can choose to Save Settings, Load Settings, Clear All settings, or Undo Changes.
When you select Save Settings from the More menu, the Save Report Settings dialog box opens.
How to Save Report Settings
To save report settings:
- Click the Edit button and select the required settings on the Report Settings dialog box.
- Click Save to save the report settings you defined.
- Click Apply to apply those settings to the report.
- Click the More button and select Save Settings from the drop down menu to open the Save Report Settings dialog box.
- Enter a name for the saved settings in the Report Settings Name field. The Report Settings Name field is mandatory and must be unique among your saved report settings for a product.
- If you want to share the report settings with other users, select the Shared toggle.
- Click Save.
Managing Saved Report Settings
Once saved, use the Load Settings option from the More menu to view previously saved settings on the Report Settings Library dialog box.
On the My Report Settings tab of the Report Settings Library dialog box, the Shared column indicates whether you have shared the saved report settings with other users of the product or not.
Actions Available on My Report Settings Tab
The Actions column includes icons for the following actions (from left to right):
- View JSON – View the settings in JSON format.
- Edit – Rename the saved settings or save these settings using a different name.
- Delete – Delete the saved settings.
- Load – Apply the saved settings to the report.
- Quick View – Preview the report setting details.
Shared Report Settings
The Shared Report Settings tab of the Report Settings Library dialog box contains report settings for the same product that have been created and shared by other users.
Actions Available on Shared Settings Tab
The Actions column includes icons for the following actions (from left to right):
- Load – Apply the shared settings to the report.
- Quick View – Preview the shared settings before loading.
Clearing Loaded Settings
To remove the currently loaded settings and start fresh, click the More button and select the Clear All option from the menu.
