Snow for ServiceNow products has faster processing, aggregation of data and a better performance when indexes are implemented. In our testing we have seen that this implementation becomes a key factor when the device count is above 20,000.
Below are the series of steps to implement indexes that are available through ServiceNow guided set up:
- When you have the Snow for ServiceNow products installed from the ServiceNow store, Type “guided setup” on the left top filter screen as shown below:
- Start with the Catalog integration guided set up, where you would notice implementation of indexes as shown below:
Follow the instructions to complete all the tasks on this section along with other guided set up operations.
- Follow similar steps for the CMDB setup as shown below. This appears as the 1st instruction within the guided setup:
PLEASE NOTE: Once the platform exceed 70,000 devices, certain basic operations such as reading, searching, and grouping by, become performance-sensitive due to the overall volume of data stored in the ServiceNow environment.
