This article outlines the behavior for the "Cloud servers and Discovered assets that are not inventoried" report and why these reports will never be empty in the Snow License Manager Web GUI.
The data shown in this report is determined by what data we're collecting from the target source via a connector and the data we have collected via the Snow Inventory Agent. If the datasets differ, some rows in the reports will still be shown as they're valid rows based on the system logic of machine matching.
As an example: Azure and Amazon Web Services have near-perfect datasets. This allows them to be securely matched to their respective machines in the system inventoried via a Snow Inventory Agent. However, this statement is not true for all the discovery connectors. The information they provide is based on what is available within that given source and is not necessarily enough to guarantee a solid match between a machine and its "discovered" entry shown within the report.
The behavior will differ from environment to environment but is ultimately a question of data quality within the third-party source.
