Summary

Warning -9564: The module '[1]' contains COM data. This COM server will not be activatable outside of this AppX package.

Symptoms

When building a project, the following warning occurs:
"Warning -9564: The module '[1]' contains COM data. This COM server will not be activatable outside of this AppX package."

[1] contains the path to a COM file in the project.

Cause

COM objects or GAC assemblies from the UWP package cannot be used by processes outside of this package.

Resolution

Action may not be needed. This warning simply notifies the user if their project contains COM and they are building a UWP package.
