Business imports fail with error once BusinessImportLogDetail_MT identity field reaches 2,147,483,647: Arithmetic overflow error converting IDENTITY to data type int

Symptoms

The following error may be shown in debugging logging when running a business adapter:

Cause

The error can happen when the identity field on the BusinessImportLogDetail_MT table in the compliance database reaches the largest possible INT value (2,147,483,647).

Remediation

Run the following command on the compliance database to reset the identity field on the BusinessImportLogDetail_MT to use negative values.

DBCC CHECKIDENT('dbo.BusinessImportLogDetail_MT', RESEED, -2147483647)

Fix status

There are no plans to address this issue.
