Can a license file contain two or more FEATURE lines for the SAME feature-name, but have different version numbers?

For example, license file contains,

By default, FLEXlm does not support more the one FEATURE line with identical feature-name. In other words, when the vendor daemon encounters more than one FEATURE line with identical feature-name it marks FEATURE line with the lower version duplicate and removes it from the license pool. From the above case, a total of only one license of version (38) is authenticated. The FEATURE line with version (37) is invalidated and removed.

Solution: An INCREMENT line(s) should be use for additional licenses. e.g, SERVER SRANJAN 000102ab7753 27002VENDOR thi_licFEATURE 161 thi_lic 37 31-dec-2199 1 .....INCREMENT 161 thi_lic 38 31-dec-2199 1 ..... OrSERVER SRANJAN 000102ab7753 27002VENDOR thi_licINCREMENT 161 thi_lic 37 31-dec-2199 1 .....INCREMENT 161 thi_lic 38 31-dec-2199 1 .....

An INCREMENT line can be used in place of a FEATURE line, as well as to incrementally add licensesto a prior FEATURE or INCREMENT line in the license file.If the vendor daemon has ls_use_all_feature_lines set in lsvendor.c, then FEATURE lines function as INCREMENT lines, and the behavior of a FEATURE line is unavailable to that application.

Flexera Software strongly discourages the use of ls_use_all_feature_lines. Only the first FEATURE line for a given feature will be processed by the vendor daemon. If you want to have additional copies of the same feature (for example, to have multiple node-locked, counted features), then you must use multiple INCREMENT lines. INCREMENT lines form license groups, called license pools, based on the following fields:? feature name? version? DUP_GROUP? FLOAT_OK? HOST_BASED? HOSTID? PLATFORM? USER_BASED? VENDOR_STRING (if configured by the vendor as a pooling component)
