Answer

No, unfortunately, using an asterisk to specify all users on a MAX line in the options file is not supported. However, the MAX option now supports ALL_USERS for the USER value or ALL_GROUPS for the GROUP value in the options file. Users no longer have to repeat the MAX line for each user or group to apply the option to all users or groups.
