Summary:

Vendor demon EXITING DUE TO SIGNAL 51 Exit reason 28 when we try to start concurrent license server on an Amazon Cloud Instance or Virtual Machine (VM) in VMWare ESXi

Symptoms:

21:09:31 (demo) SLOG: FNPLS-INTERNAL-CKPT3
21:09:32 (demo) The HOSTID on the SERVER line needs the server to run in Amazon Cloud environment(or supported virtual environment).
21:09:32 (demo) EXITING DUE TO SIGNAL 51 Exit reason 28

Solution:

Check the FlexNet License server is running or not, 'FNP Licensing Service' is actually running in Windows services, if not then find the latest Flexnet Licensing v11.18.x version and need to install the Flexnet License Service by running the executable: 'installanchorservice.exe' for the license server to install and work, then try to start the VD again, this will resolve the error EXITING DUE TO SIGNAL 51 Exit reason 28.
