Standard response to inquiries from End-Users who need to contact their original software vendor.

Hello XXXXX,
Like many companies, we provide support to clients using our products that have purchased a support contract. We have checked our database and have been unable to find a contract for your site. If this is an error, we apologize and would appreciate your help in correcting our records.We have read your inquiry and believe you are using a product developed by another company that integrated our FLEXnet Licensing technology. Unless you have a support contract with us, you will need to contact the original software manufacturer for support. Please find a list of possible areas that we truly hope will be helpful to you in resolving your issue detailed below.
- As an end-user of FLEXlm or FLEXnet Licensing, always run the latest version of lmutil, lmgrd, and lmtools for Windows. These tools are backward compatible with older vendor daemons, and are vendor independent. You can download the latest version from:

- Contact the software vendor that has incorporated FLEXlm or FLEXnet Licensing into their product. This is the most effective method for getting help with 3rd party software. The vendor is the only source if you need a new license or to change your hostid. If the vendor is unable to answer the question, they can work with us to find the answer, provided they have a current support contract with us.
- Review the FLEXlm End-Users' FAQ and the FLEXnet Licensing End-User's Manual. Both of these are available on our website at http://www.flexerasoftware.com/services/support/flexlm/enduser_faq.shtml& http://www.flexerasoftware.com/services/support/TOC.htm .
- Attend one of Flexera Software regularly scheduled FLEXnet training classes. Current training information is available here: http://www.flexerasoftware.com/services/training/onsite_training.shtml
- If your site has a large number of FLEXlm and/or FLEXnet licenses, you may want to learn about FLEXnet Manager. There are a number of valuable features included in the FLEXnet Manager product such as: a web-based interface for license management and monitoring; a report generation tool; and real-time status and alarms.
