The error Error 0xE050019D: 413 Request Entity Too Large can occur in FlexNet Manager Suite if the Active Directory data upload fails due to the file being too large. There are two configurations in Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) that you can change to allow for larger maximum file size limitations.
Configuration Editor
- Open IIS. Stop IIS by clicking on Stop under the Actions tab.
- Select your server from Connections on the left.
- Under Management, select Configuration Editor, then select system.webserver/serverRuntime as the section to edit.
- Ensure that the maxRequestEntityAllowed and the uploadReadAheadSize are greater than the file being ingested.
- Once all changes are complete, restart IIS and test the import.
Request Filtering
- Open IIS. Stop IIS by clicking on Stop under the Actions tab.
- Select your server, then choose Request Filtering under the IIS block.
- Click on Edit Feature Settings on the right and the following screen will appear:
- Under Request Limits, ensure that the Maximum allowed content length (bytes) field is changed to a value greater than the maximum size of the file being ingested.
- Once all changes are complete, restart the IIS service and test the import.
