Symptoms

The following error occurs when running FlexNet Embedded license-enabled code:

7000002c (Identity data has changed - trusted storage or anchor data cannot be decrypted)

Cause

This occurs when regenerating publisher identity information and rebuilding toolkit samples. To fix, delete the existing trusted storage files, which are called type-#, as in anchoring-0 or storage-1. These files are found in $HOME on Linux or in My Documents on Windows.

The Linux make file supports a clearts target that deletes existing trusted storage data, which is invoked using the following command:

make -f build/examples.mk clearts
