When upgrading an InstallScript project where the base was created with an older version of InstallShield and the upgrade is created with IS 2014 SP1, the upgrade is not resolving 64 bit system variables properly. Unlike during the base install, they are being resolved to their respective 32 bit paths during the upgrade install.Steps To Reproduce
Steps to Reproduce:- Create an InstallScript project in InstallShield 2014.
- Place the following in Setup.Rul:
-
#include "ifx.h" #define MY_PATH PROGRAMFILES64 ^ "Test" function OnBegin() begin MessageBox(MY_PATH, INFORMATION); end; - Build and run the installer on a 64 bit machine. Notice PROGRAMFILES64 resolves to the correct location.
- Migrate the project to InstallShield 2014 SP1.
- Increment Product Version.
- Build and run installer as an upgrade over previous install.
