How can I use my own strings in the language selection dialog of setup.exe? For example, I want to change the text Chinese (Taiwan) to Chinese (Traditional), and Chinese (PRC) to Chinese (Simplified).

Answer

This is implemented only for Chinese (Taiwan) and Chinese (PRC). You may specify your own strings for other languages by adding an entry in the [Languages] section of the support\0x*.ini file corresponding to the language that you want to change that string for.

For example, if you want to change the way the French language is displayed in English installs, you could add an entry like this to the [Languages] section of Support\0x0409.ini:

0x040C=Vive La France

Note: You may change only the 0x*.ini file(s) in the Disk1 folder of your release. However, subsequent builds would overwrite these files. If you change these files in the support folder, it is recommended that you back them up first.
