Summary

The Created by and Creation date columns in the All Purchases grid show creation details of the purchase order record, not creation details of the purchase order line (aka "purchase") record.

Details

The data model for how purchase data is stored involves two types of records:

• A purchase order line (aka "purchase") record which represents a quantity of a particular item being purchased
• A purchase order record which groups a set of purchase order lines into a single purchase identified by a purchase order number, date and vendor.

The Created by and Creation date columns in the All Purchases grid show details associated with the purchase order record, while the creation details on the history tab when viewing a purchase record show details associated with the purchase order line record.

This is inconsistent with information in the online help which indicates that the values displayed in these two locations should be the same.

Fix status

This issue has been fixed in the following FlexNet Manager Suite releases: 2023 R2.3 / Mar 2024 (Cloud), 2024 R1 (On Premises)
