Summary

When the FlexNet inventory agent is configured to collect Oracle Fusion Middleware audit data, inventory NDI files that are generated and uploaded may contain additional embedded content which is not strictly necessary to be included as part of the audit data. This can result in NDI files being larger than would otherwise be normal (especially on Windows operating systems), potentially growing to be several megabytes in size.

Impacts from additional data gathered due to this issue can include:

• Longer time and increased CPU usage taken to collect inventory
• Additional network traffic generated when uploading NDI files
• Additional storage space consumed on beacons
• Additional storage space consumed by the FlexNet Manager Suite databases
