Synopsis

FlexNet Manager can be configured to retrieve user information from a LDAP directory service. However, if the configuration is incorrect, the following or similar errors are seen:

Failed to display the domain users because of an unknown domain error. Please contact the FLEXnet administrator. (platform.exceptions.ExternalDomainException # 2884-3144)

The fields below are required by FLEXnet Manager in order to support the Microsoft LDAP service.

DOMAIN SPECIFIC INFORMATION:
These items may need to be obtained from your IT department.

Name
Host
Port
Base Distinguished Name
Domain Login
Domain Password

GENERAL INFORMATION:

User Search Filter :- (objectclass=person)
User Display Name Attribute :- CN
Authorization Search Filter :- sAMAccountName={0}
Authorization Search Attribute :- sAMAccountName
Group Search Filter :- (objectclass=group)
Group Name Attribute :- memberOf
Group Display Detail Attribute :- CN

Additional Information

The actual values for the domain specific fields must be obtained from your company's IT Department, or the individual who configured the LDAP service.
