Use this process to remove an operator’s personal information from the FlexNet Manager Suite compliance database. This may help meet General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) obligations.
What this script does
The attached SQL script anonymizes personal information for a specified operator in your FlexNet Manager Suite compliance database. It replaces the operator’s name with a series of asterisks, allowing you to retain a clear audit trail without exposing personal details.
This script only removes data for operators registered within FlexNet Manager Suite. It does not remove user names or other details imported from external systems (such as inventory sources or business adapters). To fully remove personal data, you must also delete it from the external source (for example, Windows Active Directory). Future imports will then reflect the removal.
IMPORTANT: This script is for on-premises versions of FlexNet Manager Suite only. Cloud customers should refer to the instructions in the Additional information section.
Before you begin
IMPORTANT: Back up your database before running the script. Changes made by this script are permanent and cannot be undone.
Steps to remove personal information
- Open the attached SQL script in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Replace the
OperatorLoginplaceholder with the login of the operator whose personal information you want to remove. - If you're using a Managed Services or SaaS instance, replace the placeholder
Tenant UID 0000000000000000with the actual UID of the customer requesting data removal.- For on-premises implementations, skip this step.
- You can find the Tenant UID in the Tenant table.
- Run the script.
Additional information
You can also run the script using sqlcmd or automate it by saving the file with the correct OperatorLogin and TenantUID.
