After completing an installation, the following file and directory remain behind on the machine in the temp directory.

Discussion

Remove.exe is a process that InstallAnywhere uses to clean up the temp directory and other files after the install completes. As it cannot remove itself, it remains in the temp directory. However, after a reboot, the remove.exe file should get deleted from the temp directory.

The hsperfdata_%username% folder is created by Java, not InstallAnywhere. If you want to turn it off, you can use the JVM option: -XX:-UsePerfData. More information can be found here.
