  1. Product News: FlexNet Embedded Client Kits 2026.09 Now Available

We are pleased to announce the availability of the FlexNet Embedded Client Kits 2026.09 release. This release introduces new licensing capabilities, expanded platform support, security and maintainability improvements, and performance enhancements.

    Release Highlights

    • New User-Based Licensing Capabilities: FlexNet Embedded now supports user-based licensing, enabling publishers to associate license usage with individual users across devices and sessions. This provides greater flexibility for managing and allocating licenses while supporting modern user-centric licensing models.
    • Expanded Platform Support for ARM64 Environments: New client kits are available for both Windows 11 ARM64 and Linux ARM64 (AArch64) platforms. These additions help publishers build and deploy applications on a broader range of modern ARM-based devices and infrastructure.
    • Enhanced Security Through Updated Open Source Components: Key third-party libraries have been updated across supported platforms, helping publishers benefit from the latest security and maintenance improvements.
    • Improved Integration with Native Operating System Security and Networking Services: Windows and macOS C-XT client kits now leverage operating system-provided networking and security components more directly. This simplifies maintenance and allows applications to benefit from platform-managed updates and security enhancements.
    • Reduced Package Size and Simplified Deployment for .NET Applications: The .NET Core XT client kit package structure has been streamlined by removing legacy duplicate libraries, resulting in a cleaner, standards-based package layout and reduced distribution footprint.
    • Improved Performance for Large Licensing Environments: The C-XT client kits have been optimized to deliver better performance when working with large feature collections, helping applications scale more efficiently in complex licensing scenarios.
