  5. Reminder: InstallShield Activation Service Discontinued

We’d like to remind all community members that the InstallShield Activation Service was officially discontinued on July 1, 2022. This service enabled the reactivation logic used by InstallShield versions 2013 and earlier (starting from InstallShield 11).

With the service now discontinued, these older versions can no longer reactivate their licenses. If reactivation is required for any reason, the affected versions will become inoperable. Until a reactivation is needed, you may continue using InstallShield 2013 or older as usual.

As technology continues to evolve, supporting end-of-life versions becomes increasingly challenging. Because of this, customers who remain on outdated versions may see additional limitations over time.

To support users still working with these older, unsupported versions, Revenera is offering upgrade discounts. These are available to help customers transition to a current, fully supported release of InstallShield.

If you’d like more information or would like to upgrade to the latest version, please contact Revenera Sales, we’re here to help.
