nOSMajor vs. nWinMajor

Hi all,

I need to check the OS version and it appears the SYSINFO structure has 2 members: nOSMajor and nWinMajor.

What is the difference? I don't want to choose the wrong one in my code and those 2 members confuse me.

I get the impression that nOSMajor=nWinMajor and nOSMinor=nWinMinor; samples in these forums seem to favor nOSMajor, for what that's worth.
