The install drive is F: but no icon appears in the Startmenu

On a new install the only drive is F: and after installation is complete the program is in the correct folder and will run, but there is no icon in the Startmenu. There is no other drive letters on the machine. This is a basic MSI using InstallShield. Do I need a Custom Action to get this to install? Is the high drive letter the problem?

I don't believe so. Just to be sure, try your install on C or D drive. Does the problem happen on those machines?

In any case, you will want to generate an installation log for clues.
