The customer upgrading to SLM 9.33.02 and expected to resolve an issue with applications showing as DenyList (DL).
However for this particular environment the behaviour still exists.
Snow License Manager 9.33.02 or later
- Ensure that the upgrade to Snow License Manager is on SLM 9.33.02 or higher has been performed successfully.
- If so, check whether there are any applications showing as deny list that should not be denied.
- For example, on the screenshot below, there are only 3 applications that are denied within the deny list criteria.
- It should only deny anything that has %alchemer%, %SurveyGizmo% and %SurveyMonkey% on the application name.
- Any applications showing as denied that do not fit the deny list criteria indicates an issue.
- If for any reason, it is denying applications that should not be denied, click on the Applications (results) tab.
- Check if this list contains a lot of applications? If yes, proceed to the next step
- Perform the following steps:
1.Go to Home - Administration - Application allowlist:
2.Click Edit.
3.Tick the option Automatically denylist non-allowlisted applications (disables denylist administration), then click Apply rules.
4.Wait until the application of rules is completed. Click Edit.
5.Untick the option Automatically denylist non-allowlisted applications (disables denylist administration), then click Apply rules.
6. Wait until the application of rules is completed. Check one computer to verify if applications are not showing DenyList (DL) anymore.
