This occurs when Snow Cloud Visibility is not able to find any billing export CSV files to ingest based on the information provided in the wizard. To correct, check the following configurations:
No Exports Have Been Run
If you just created the billing export, it's possible that it has not yet run. When this is the case, no file is available for Cloud Visibility to read, thus the error.- Login to the Azure portal and choose the Cost Management + Billing.
- Then choose Cost Management from the navigation menu.
- Choose Exports from the navigation menu.
- Check the data in the Last run column. If the export has not yet been run, check its checkbox and click Run now.
File Partitioning is On
The file partitioning setting on your billing export must be set to On in order for Cloud Visibility to successfully retrieve the exported data.- Login to the Azure portal and choose the Cost Management + Billing.
- Then choose Cost Management from the navigation menu.
- Choose Exports from the navigation menu.
- Click the name of the export for which you are configuring a connector, and then click Edit.
- Enable File Partitioning and click Save at the bottom of the page.
Billing Folder or Directory Typo
Confirm that you have not entered an incorrect value in the Add Connector wizard.- Login to the Azure portal and choose the Cost Management + Billing.
- Then choose Cost Management from the navigation menu.
- Choose Exports from the navigation menu.
- Click the name of the export for which you are configuring a connector, and then click Edit.
- Record the name and storage directory (snowcloudsupport and billing respectively in the example above.)
SAS Token Created at Wrong Level
Confirm that you have not created the SAS access token at the wrong level.- Login to the Azure portal and choose Storage accounts.
- Filter the list using the storage account name used to store the export for which you are configuring a connector. Click the storage account name.
- Under Data storage in the navigation menu, click Containers.
- Click the container name of the container used to store the export.
- Select the billing export directory from the list and choose Shared access tokens from the navigation menu.
- Confirm that:
- Account key is selected for Signing Method.
- A signing key has been selected.
- Under Stored access policy, None has been selected. Otherwise, create a stored access policy that manages the lifecycle of your SAS token. See AWS documentation for doing so.
- Read and List permissions have been granted.
- HTTPS only is selected as the Allowed protocols.
- Click Generate SAS token and URL and copy the Blob SAS URL.
- Enter the generated Blob SAS URL in the Cloud Visibility connector wizard.
