The Data Update Job failed or took a longer time than usual to complete, this can be observed in the Alert List in Snow License Manager or in the Data Update Job section of the Snow Management and Configuration Center
To find the relevant error from the Data Update Job run the below query in SQL and match the date of the error with the date of the failed Data Update Job:
select * from SnowLicenseManager.dbo.tblErrorLogorder by LogDate descThe following error is displayed in tblErrorLog:
Error #1205 in procedure ### line #. [Transaction (Process ID #) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction.]

Analysis
The system requirements for the SQL server are met as per Snow System Requirements , if they are not then this could be the cause. This is a one-off occurrence, this error hasn't appeared many times
Resolution
Ensure there is nothing scheduled to run at the same time as the Data Update Job on the SQL server. This is probably safe to leave and the Data Update Job will run successfully in the following run.
Cause
There was a deadlock in the database too many resources were being consumed at the same time.
This is likely due to something else running at the same time as the Data Update Job causing it to fail or run longer.
This could be a backup or a maintenance job was running at the same time on the database.
