Issue
- When email notifications are sent out the URL provided uses the local server hostname instead of the Snow License Manager URL.
E.g:
Snow License Manager URL
https://testsoft.com/Pages/Contract.aspx?id=8
What is sent
https://desktop1/Pages/Contract.aspx?id=8
- This can cause the URL to not be accessible externally from the Snow License Manager server.
Solution
- Option 1:
- Allow the network connection between the devices
- Option 2: Notification URL issue:
- Open IIS on the Snow License Manager server.
- Select the Snow License Manager site.
- Select Bindings on the right-hand side of IIS
- Take a note of and then remove the current bindings
- Add any binding that have been removed as an additional binding.
- Add a Binding with the host name and confirm this is at the top of the binding stack.
- Select OK.
- Restart IIS.
- The Snow License Manager site can now be accessed using this URL link.
- Wait or trigger a notification to confirm the URL has updated.
