Users may want to migrate a stateful node (ssn) from Spot back to Azure to manage it directly in the Azure console. This process involves editing configuration parameters, updating the node's strategy, and then deleting it through the Ocean interface.

1. Click Edit node for the stateful node you want to modify.
    

2. Go to Review, switch to JSON review, and enable Edit mode.
    

3. In the JSON editor, change the revertToSpot parameter to "never".

4. Add the following parameter under the strategy section:

   "preferredLifecycle": "od"

   Ensure it is placed within the strategy structure, typically below drainingTimeout.
    

5. Save the configuration changes.

6. Recycle the stateful node.

7. After confirming that the node no longer runs on Spot instances, go back to Edit node and delete the node.

8. In the deletion window, make sure that none of the checkboxes are enabled.
    

9. Confirm deletion by typing the node name and selecting Yes, delete.

10. Once completed, the virtual machine and its resources will continue to run in Azure.

Outcome

The stateful node is removed from Spot, and its associated virtual machine operates natively within the Azure environment.
