This article uses an example to illustrate the process by which you can create a local rule for a bundled application. In our example we are using IBM DB2 11.5.

Using the current rule, the application IBM DB2 11.5 is triggered based on the recognition of the bundle component.

The bundle components within the snowpack are - IBM DB2 11.5 Server (exe), IBM DB2 11.5 (reg).  This has triggered the bundle.

To make changes to the bundle:

• Right click and select the override option. 

• Rename the application to IBM DB2 11.5 Community. 
• This creates a separate bundle called IBM DB2 11.5 Community.
• The previous bundle will be marked off.

The new bundle will not contain any applications, so these must be added in the same manner as the previously overridden bundle. 

Once updated:

• To add the application, select the application in the top list and click assign.
• The application will show in the application bundle list.
• Make the application IBM DB2 11.5 Server (exe) - Is mandatory must be set to checked / true. 
• Do the same to add all the applications to the bundle.

• ​Now that new bundle is created, log out of the system.
• Log in to Snow Management and Configuration Center (SMACC) to verify that the new bundle is present.
