Question
- Support may require customers or Partners to provide a Snow Integration Manager (SIM) vSphere Connector aggregation in order to replicate the reported behaviour to Snow Test Environment.
- How can you generate the inventory files and send it to Support?
Environment
- Snow Integration Manager (SIM) 5.x
Answer
- Create a temporary folder
- For example C:\TempSupport where SIM is located.
- Open Snow Integration Manager Connector
- Go to the Inventory file handling tab
- Copy the content to a Notepad because we will revert later back to the currently configured path for Inventory incoming folder
- Change the configured Inventory incoming folder to the one you created
- In our example C:\TempSupport
- Click Apply and Close button
- Re-open Snow Integration Manager Connector
- Go to Connector options tab
- Select the VMware vSphere connection from the list of Active connectors
- Click the Aggregate selected button to perform manual aggregation
- This will generate the required inventory files
- Wait until it completes
- Once it is completed, please revert the Inventory file handling path to the previous setting
- IMPORTANT! If you forget to revert, the inventory files will be saved still in the Temp folder thus no inventory files will be processed and no latest updates will be shown.
- Click Apply and Close button
- Zip the files it generated
- In our example you would zip up the C:\TempSupport folder
- Send the zip file to Support
