When configuring a third-party license server on a Windows Server using the Master Configurator tool, the following error may appear:
"Missing License Technology: Please select a license technology."
This error occurs when the required license technology is not selected during configuration. The confusion arises because the field is not explicitly labeled as "license technology" in the GUI.
- Open the Master Configurator tool.
- Navigate to the Third Party tab.
- Open the Installation page.
- Above Installation, locate the dropdown menu labeled (Select One).
- This dropdown corresponds to the License Technology selection. Choose the appropriate license technology from the list.
- Continue with the configuration. The error should no longer appear.
