The Application Recognition Library (ARL) helps manage application evidence within your Flexera One ITAM environment.  Understanding how evidence is categorized and what modifications can be made ensures accurate application recognition and optimal management of software assets.

The ARL in your environment consists of two types of application evidence sources:

• Flexera-provided ARL updates, which are designated with the source label 'Flexera'.
• Locally discovered evidence, which is marked with the source label 'Local'.

While evidence from locally discovered sources can be modified freely, application evidence from the source 'Flexera' is restricted and cannot be altered. However, there are specific actions that can be taken to manage Flexera-sourced evidence effectively:

• Mark as 'Ignored' – Prevents the evidence record from being used for application recognition.
• Assign to an Additional Application – Allows the same evidence to be associated with multiple applications.
• Remove from a Locally Created Application – Enables users to disassociate the evidence from applications they have manually created.

These management options ensure flexibility in handling application recognition while maintaining the integrity of Flexera-provided ARL data.
