After reinstalling Data Platform with a newer installer version (for example, 5.5.78) on a database created by an older version (for example, 5.5.68), you may see a Normalize System Error when you try to open the Admin UI.

This issue happens when required patches between the older and newer Data Platform versions are missing.
You can resolve this issue by rerunning the Data Platform installer to recreate the BDNA schema or by manually applying the patch included with the installer. The resolution below applies when you use a newer installer version (for example, 5.5.78) on a database created by any earlier version, including 5.5.65 or below.
Follow these steps to apply the patch manually:

Download the patch and copy it to the Data Platform\Update folder.
- Connect to the Data Platform server using Remote Desktop.
- Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
- Run the following command exactly as shown:
"%BMS_HOME%\bin\updater.exe" /FILE="%BMS_HOME%\Update\5.5.65_DP_DB.zip"
- Refresh the patch list and confirm the update appears in the Admin UI.
