Before you begin

• Back up the Compliance database before making any direct changes.
• Ensure you have permission to run SQL scripts against the Compliance database.
• Identify the correct ComplianceOperatorID to use when running the script.

Steps

1. Download the script
   Download the attached Link assets and devices.sql file.

2. Update the ComplianceOperatorID

   • Open the script
   • Modify the first line of the script to include the ComplianceOperatorID you want to use.
     • It is recommended to use the ComplianceOperatorID of the service account.
     • To find the ComplianceOperatorID, query the ComplianceOperator table.

3. Run the Script

   Execute the script against the Compliance database.

   The script accepts recommended links between assets and inventory devices based on data from the All Inventory view.

After the script runs, assets are automatically linked to their corresponding inventory devices. This reduces manual effort and helps keep asset relationships consistent.
