In some environments, the Snow Inventory Agent for Windows may stop submitting inventory data. When this happens, the agent logs show that the next scan has been scheduled for an unrealistic future date, such as the year 2058. In some cases, logs also contain timestamps from the year 1921, along with repeated connection failures. This behavior can continue even after upgrading the agent.

This issue typically occurs when the local agent database (snowagent.db) becomes corrupted or misconfigured, often due to time synchronization failures or fallback to default values triggered by connectivity issues.
- Delete the local database file
- Go to:
C:\Program Files\Snow Software\Inventory\Agent\data Delete the file snowagent.db
- Go to:
- Restart the Snow Agent service
- Open the Windows Services console
- Restart the Snow Agent service
The agent will recreate the database file and correctly reschedule inventory scans. After these steps, the agent should resume normal operation and begin submitting inventory data as expected.
