When trying to install a new Snow Inventory Agent on Windows, you are presented with the error:
- The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

C:\Windows\ccmcache is the cache location for files deployed via SCCM. If you've deployed Snow via SCCM the files will be saved to this location.
Subsequent deployements will look for old files here, to uninstall successfully. The MSI log file indicates that the c:\window\sccmcache is not found, therefore, the reason it's looking for the file on a network source. Depending on how the software was uninstalled there seems that there are some references to an old agent installation.
The Snow Inventory Agents should be targeted to Remove old agents when packaging the msi using the Package Builder. Snow Engineers can uncheck this value to keep older agents running along side newer but it is quite uncommon as having multiple versions of agents consume licenses.
If your SCCM Team have accidently deleted the software or the software was not cleaned up correctly; you must remove the referencing Installer class from the registry. The entry thats held the reference point to the old snow agent file () is within the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products directory. Please see below:
Note: Prior to deleting the old registry folder; please ensure you have taken an export (back-up) of the registry prior.
Once deleted; restart the machine & retry the re-installation or upgrade of the Snow Inventory Agent.
Using a 3rd party tool (in this case SCCM) incorrectly caused the agent not to uninstall all components correctly.
