Pod allocation in the Flexera console
When you look at a node in the Flexera console (Ocean > Cloud clusters > Node > Nodes), the CPU and memory values reflect pod requests. These values represent the resources that Kubernetes assigns to pods, grouped at the node level.
This is allocation, not actual usage.
Actual utilization in AWS
In the AWS console, you see real-time utilization.
These metrics show the actual CPU and memory consumption of the underlying EC2 instance.
Why the numbers differ
Because Kubernetes allocates resources based on pod requests and those requests don’t always match how much the pods actually use, the Flexera console usually shows higher or more structured values compared to the fluctuating real-time usage shown in AWS.
