InstallShield does not sign quickpatch installers in InstallShield 2014

Symptoms

InstallShield does not sign quickpatch installers in InstallShield 2014. This occurs even if a proper certificate is specified and configured in the project.

Cause

This is a known issue that has been submitted under issue #IOJ-1724085.

Steps To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a QuickPatch Project
2. Click Next on New QuickPatch Project Window
3. select Based on MSI Package radio button and click NEXT
4. Click Browse button on Original setup and add MSI Package
5. Click Finish button
6. Go to General information--> and select Build Settings
7. Select digital signature tab
8. In the Digital Signature tab specify a pfx to use for Software Publishing Credentials file.
9. Set the password
10. Check the "Sign update.exe" checkbox.
11. Build Patch.
12. Note that the update.exe is not signed.

Resolution

This issue has been resolved in InstallShield 2015. Please update to the latest version of InstallShield to resolve this issue.
