You may experience an error regarding the Tomcat ports you have in use when running the User Console configuration wizard. This error can occur because another process you have on the server is using this port. When this occurs, an error like the below example is present in the ISAPI log at Program Files\BDNA\User Console\Tools\Others\TomcatConnector\logs.

[info] jk_open_socket::jk_connect.c (627): connect to 127.0.0.1:8023 failed (errno=61)

[info] ajp_connect_to_endpoint::jk_ajp_common.c (995): Failed opening socket to (127.0.0.1:8023) (errno=61)

[error] ajp_send_request::jk_ajp_common.c (1630): (worker1) connecting to backend failed. Tomcat is probably not started or is listening on the wrong port (errno=61)

[info] ajp_service::jk_ajp_common.c (2623): (worker1) sending request to tomcat failed (recoverable), because of error during request sending (attempt=2)

[error] ajp_service::jk_ajp_common.c (2643): (worker1) connecting to tomcat failed. 

To fix this issue, you can update the Tomcat shutdown ports by following the steps below.

Instructions

1. Stop the User Console service.
2. Navigate to the Program Files\BDNA\User Console\Tools\Tomcat\conf folder.
3. Open each file highlighted in the image below.

4. In each file, locate the code that states the server port number, like the highlighted image below.
1. Change the port number to an empty port, then save the file.
2. Do the same for all four files.

Once this is done and all the files have been saved, the port will be updated.

5. Restart the User Console service.
