1. Retrieve the Beacon UID from the beacon server
• On the beacon server, open Registry Editor (regedit).
• Navigate to:
  Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ManageSoft Corp\ManageSoft\Common
• Locate the BeaconUID value.
• Copy the value and remove the opening and closing curly brackets.
2. Sign in to Flexera One
• Log in to Flexera One.
• If you have access to multiple organizations, ensure you select the correct organization before proceeding.
3. Configure the beacon in Flexera One
• Navigate to the Beacons page (Data Collection > IT Assets Inventory Tasks > Beacons).
• Select Configure A Beacon.
• Enter the following information:
• Beacon UID (without the curly brackets)
• Beacon Name
4. Download the beacon configuration
• After completing the configuration, select Download Configuration.
• Copy and paste the configuration file to the beacon server.
5. Navigate to your Beacon server (hosting the Beacon application)
• On the beacon server, open the Start menu.
• Launch Flexera Beacon UI.
• Allow a few moments for the application to load. Once open, navigate to the Parent Connection tab.
6. Import the configuration
• Select the Enable Parent Connection checkbox.
• Click Import Configuration.
• Browse to the downloaded configuration file and select it.
• The beacon will import the configuration and attempt to establish a secure connection with Flexera One.
7. Verify connectivity
• After the import completes, confirm that the beacon successfully connects to Flexera One and displays a healthy connection status.

Note: The Beacon UID entered in Flexera One must exactly match the Beacon UID from the registry, excluding the curly braces ({ }). This ensures the configuration is applied to the correct beacon.
