You can create your own analytics-based widgets in Flexera One. Follow the steps below to create a custom report and widget for your dashboard.

Instructions

1. Open Flexera One.
2. To add a widget, you must first create a custom report. Go to Dashboards > My Analytics Home. This page will open in a new tab.

3. In My Analytics Home, select the plus icon (+) on the bottom left corner of the page. Then, select Report to create your new custom report.

4. Select the Blank template.
5. Once you’ve opened the blank template, click the plus icon (+) under Source.

6. Go to Team Content folder > Flexera Data Models and select Open.

7. Decide what data you want to be added to your report by using the listed models and dragging and dropping them in the middle of the screen.

8. Once you’ve built your report, click the play button > Run HTML. A new tab will open with the loaded report for your widget.

9. In the new report, click Save As in the top left corner. Give the report a name, then select Save.
10. Open the folder you saved the report in, select the three dots, then select Embed.

11. Select Copy, then go back into Flexera One and go to Dashboards > IT Asset Management.
12. Click Manage Custom Widgets on the right side of the page.
13. Select Create a new analytics widget from the drop-down menu. Enter a widget name and the dimension size you’d like the widget to be. Then, paste the report you copied from step 12 under Analytics Path. Click Create.

14. Go to Add Widgets on the right side of the page, look for the widget you just created, and select Add to Dashboard.
